After a triumphant launch party in May, pan-African international club event A’friquency returns on August 26th to South Africa with an exclusive performance from Nigerian award-winning lyricist, producer and Chocolate City head honcho M.I. Abaga at Johannesburg’s trendiest venue, Carfax.

Joining M.I. on the night will be two key members of the Chocolate City family in the shape of hip-hop royalty Jesse Jagz and Nigeria’s foremost female DJ, DJ Lambo.

Representing the South African contingent will be leading Cape Town remix duo Twins on Decks and the ever versatile hip-hop producer and emcee DJ Speedsta.

Up and coming acts include Nigerian-born DJ Waja & Gauteng’s DJ Clen, with support from A‘friquency residents PercyStaysLit, That Guy Who DJs, Spontaneous DJ, & Sam Haskins.

It’s a stellar line-up that’s set to light up the streets of downtown Jozi for the second time running. Expect special guest appearances & exclusive showcase performances from Africa’s leading artists, producers and DJs, as we offer patrons a unique window into the pan-African movement that’s going global. “Join us as we build a new frequency”, The New Sound of Africa: A’friquency.
